What Is The UK Foundation Programme (UKFP)?
The UK Foundation Programme is the official 2-year training programme for newly qualified doctors in the United Kingdom.
International Medical Graduates (IMGs) can apply directly to FY1 through the UK Foundation Programme if they meet the eligibility requirements and obtain GMC registration before starting the programme.
After completing FY1 and FY2 successfully, doctors become eligible to progress into specialty training pathways in the NHS.
